From Feature Importance to Distance Metric: An Almost Exact Matching Approach for Causal Inference

Abstract: Our goal is to produce methods for observational causal inference that are auditable, easy to troubleshoot, yield accurate treatment effect estimates, and scalable to high-dimensional data.
