Frobenius Circulant Graphs of Valency Four

Abstract: A first kind Frobenius graph is a Cayley graph Cay(K , S) on the Frobenius kernel of a Frobenius group K H such that S = a H for some a ∈ K with a H = K , where H is of even order or a is an involution. It is known that such graphs admit 'perfect' routing and gossiping schemes. A circulant graph is a Cayley graph on a cyclic group of order at least three. Since circulant graphs are widely used as models for interconnection networks, it is thus highly desirable to characterize those which are Frobenius of the f… Show more

“…In [23] it was proved that orbital regular graphs (which are essentially Frobenius graphs [10] except cycles and stars) achieve the smallest possible edge-forwarding index. In [25,26,27], Thomson and Zhou gave formulas for the edge-forwarding and arc-forwarding indices of two interesting families of Frobenius circulant graphs. The exact value of edge-forwarding index of some other graphs have also been computed, including Knödel graphs [11] and recursive circulant graphs [14].…”

“…For example, networks with smaller diameters will lead to shorter data transmission delay. The forwarding indices [5,12] and bisection width are also well-known measures of performance of interconnection networks [10,13,25,[28][29][30]32].…”
