“…The presence or absence of an antennal scale is a character of taxonomic importance in the Isopoda Asellota, and because Lemos de Castro and Brasil Lima (1977) reported its presence in the Sao Paulo specimens, we searched carefully for it in the Chilean specimens but could not find even a vestige. Miller (1892) and Taberner (1982) also found no scales on their specimens .…”
