Abstract: Abstract. Friction extrusion (FE) is a solid-state process categorized as an energy-efficient process, utilizing the intrinsic friction-induced heat to plasticize and manufacture fully consolidated extrudate from various feedstocks, i.e. solid billet, chips and powder.
