Abstract: Background:Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) are a group of immune-mediated diseases characterized my muscle weakness, skin rash and systemic involvement. Myositis-specific antibodies (MSA) and myositis-associated antibodies (MAA) play a major role in IIM diagnosis, classification and prognosis.
