Abstract: BackgroundOsteoporosis and related fragility fractures are one of the most common complications seen in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Increased osteoclast activity contributes to local and systemic abnormalities of bone remodelling, including bone erosions and focal and systemic osteoporosis.
