Freudarwin: Evolutionary Thinking as a Root of Psychoanalysis

Abstract: This essay synthesizes the place of biological evolutionism in the early history of psychoanalysis, and shows the implicit significance of German Darwinism in Sigmund Freud’s whole psychoanalytical works.
