Abstract:Fiber optical tweezers (FOTs) provide a functionality for micro-/nanoparticle manipulation with a slim and flexible optical fiber setup. An added in situ spectroscopic functionality can achieve characterization of the trapped particle, potentially useful for endoscopic, in-vivo studies in an inherently heterogeneous environment if the applicator end is all-fiber-built. Here, we demonstrate all-fiber optical tweezers (a-FOTs) for the trapping and in situ spectral measurement of a single, cell-sized microparticl… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
