Frequency reconfigurable antenna for VHF/UHF digital TV reception on portable devices using switching matching networks

Abstract: To provide comprehensive coverage for digital TV reception on portable devices, a switchable matching network bank is proposed. Feasibility of this approach is demonstrated via a fully functional dongle-sized tuner with a telescope antenna. Both RF and system level tests are conducted to validate the enhanced reception performance.
