Frequency Behavior of Conformal Wire Structures

Abstract: Three-dimensional models are built to examine the frequency behavior of wire structures conforming onto nonplanar surfaces. The effects of altered periodicity on frequency selectiveness of the structures are considered. An analogy is drawn with the antenna impedance behavior of a single active wire surrounded by a number of passive similar ones. Numerical simulations are performed for different wire geometries over a conical surface.
