This research aimed to determine the feed types for Brazilian silver Arowana (Osteoglossum bicirrhosum), consisting of Poecilia reticulata (guppy fish), Gryllus mitratus (local cricket) and Blaptica Dubia (Dubia roach). The best feed ratios were compared to improve the performance growth of Arowana. The research was conducted in October - November 2022 at the ornamental fish farm named Badai Arwana Tasikmalaya, West Java. This research used an experimental method with a completely randomized design through five treatments and four repetitions. The treatments consisted of (A) guppy fish as the control feed (100%); (B) local cricket as the tested feed (100%); (C) Dubia roach as the tested feed (100%), (D) combination of guppy fish (50%) with local cricket (50%); and (E) combination of guppy fish (50%) with Dubia roach (50%). The treatments were given for 40 days, and the growth parameters of those Arowana seeds were then observed every 10 days. The observed parameters covered Survival Rate (SR), Absolute Length Growth (L), Absolute Weight Growth (W), Feed Conversion ratio (FCR), and Water Quality. SR, W, L, and FCR data were analyzed using ANOVA with a significant level of 95% and if there is a significant difference, the Duncan test will be further conducted. Meanwhile, water quality was descriptively analyzed. The research results showed that the feed combination of guppy fish (50%) with local cricket (50%) could improve the SR and growth performance of Arowana seeds. The given feed combination with the ratio of guppy fish (50%) with local cricket (50%) resulted in SR (100%), L (9.07 cm), W (10.53 g), and FCR (2.36). Meanwhile, the water quality during the research was in appropriate and stable conditions.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pertumbuhan dan jenis makanan ikan Betutu (Oxyeleotris marmorata), serta mengetahui kondisi beberapa parameter kualitas air di Danau Sabuah Kecamatan Kahayan Tengah, Kabupaten Pulang Pisau. Pengambilan sampel ikan dilakukan dengan jaring insang (gillnet) selama 3 kali masa pengamatan dengan interval waktu 7 hari. Pengukuran parameter kualitas air meliputi suhu, kecerahan, kedalaman, kekeruhan, pH dan DO dilakukan pada lokasi yang sama dengan pengambilan sampel ikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh total hasil tangkapan ikan Betutu sebanyak 98 ekor dengan sebaran panjang berkisar antara 18-40 cm dan sebaran berat berkisar antara 69-893 gram. Hasil analisis regresi hubungan panjang dan berat ikan Betutu menunjukkan persamaan regresi y = 0,0135x2,9667 dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) = 0,927. Nilai b sebesar 2,9667 pada hasil regresi menunjukkan nilai < 3 menjelaskan bahwa pola pertumbuhan ikan Betutu yang tertangkap di Danau Sabuah adalah allometrik negatif. Hasil identifikasi isi lambung ikan Betutu menunjukkan nilai Index of Preponderance tertinggi sebesar 62% dari makanan ikan Betutu adalah ikan, diikuti oleh Nematoda 14%, debris hewan dan serasah masing-masing 11,4%, dan fitoplankton 1,2%. Kondisi kualitas air parameter fisika dan kimia menunjukkan nilai suhu, kedalaman, pH dan DO masih sesuai untuk mendukung pertumbuhan ikan kecuali parameter kecerahan dan kekeruhan

The recent increase in community activity in the Air Manna Estuary of the South Bengkulu regency, will affect the physical condition of the estuary. Therefore, this research were to determine of the physical oceanographic parameters such as temperature, salinity, current velocity, tidal and the mixing type in the Air Manna estuary, South Bengkulu Regency at the transitional season I. The method used is the measurement of field data directly during high tide and low tide conditions as well as descriptive and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that the characteristics of the physical oceanographic pharameters in the Air Manna Estuary were influenced by tidal condition. The highest current speed at the mouth of the estuary is 2.6 m/s at low tide and 2.2 m/s at high tide, with the highest temperature in the upstream estuary of 27.49oC towards the sea during high tide conditions. The low salinity in the middle of the estuary of 0.99 ppt increases towards the sea with a relatively smaller distribution of salinity at low tide.The mixing type in the Air Manna Estuary is the Salt wedge estuary which has a well-certified mixing pattern, with an estuary number of 0.00019.
