Abstract: This paper deals with the free propagation problem of resonant and close-to-resonance waves in one-dimensional lattice metamaterials endowed with nonlinearly viscoelastic resonators. The resonators' constitutive and geometric nonlinearities imply a cubic coupling with the lattice.
