Abstract: Immunometabolism investigates the complex interplay between the immune system and cellular metabolism. This study highlights the effects of mitochondrial frataxin (FXN) depletion, which causes Friedreich's ataxia (FRDA), a neurodegenerative condition characterized by coordination and muscle control deficiencies.
