Fracture law of different overlying strata in mining of protective seam under close distance coal seam

Abstract: To study the fracture law of different overlying strata during mining of the lower protective seam under a close distance coal seam at a depth of 1000 m, roof bedseparation and fissure imaging monitoring were carried out in the inlet roadway ahead of the working face of the JI 15 -31040 lower protective seam in the Pingdingshan XII coal mine. The results show that with the overlying strata of the lower protective seam being affected by mining, the displacement of the overlying strata in the roof of 0-4 m was r… Show more

“…The upper portions of the structures are relatively shallow, while their lower portions are relatively deep. Multiperiod tectonic development has impacted fault formation and SG dissipation (Li, Tang, Qin, et al, 2019; Meng et al, 2020; Wang & Wang, 2021). For shales deposited at the maximum depth, their capacity to generate hydrocarbons decreases substantially or even ceases completely during the uplifting stage, resulting in changes in their stress and porosity.…”

“…There are a lot of overlapping areas in the coal resource-enriched areas and karst developed areas in southern China. Guizhou is one of the main mining areas in southern coal fields, known as the "Southern Coal Sea", mainly mining the Late Permian Longtan Formation coal measures, mainly mining coal The Changxing Formation karst aquifer is overlying the layer, and the karst water body is rich in reserves [1,2]. At the same time, with Guizhou as the center, a large area of karst landforms dominated by carbonate rocks is formed.…”

“…In recent years, a series of significant discoveries have been made in the onshore deep and ultra‐deep oil and gas fields, and several large deep and ultra‐deep oil and gas reservoirs have been discovered in the Tarim, Sichuan and Songliao basins (He et al, 2020; Li, Ma, et al, 2019; Li, Zeng, et al, 2021). In terms of the development of the petroleum industry, China has mastered a large number of advanced oil and gas exploration and development technologies (He et al, 2020; Lan et al, 2021; Guo et al, 2021; Li et al, 2020; Wang & Wang, 2021; Xie et al, 2020; Yin et al, 2019). ‘Three‐dimensional integrated exploration’ is the development goal of deep and ultra‐deep oil and gas exploration (He et al, 2020; Li, Zeng, et al, 2021; Zou et al, 2023).…”
