Abstract: Purpose The mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) activated cyclic guanosine monophosphate–adenosine monophosphate synthase—stimulator of interferon genes (cGAS-STING) signaling pathway is a key player in mediating immune responses in autoimmune disorders and cancer.
