Die Bezeichnung „flüssige Ionenaustauscher”︁ hat sich in letzter Zeit für eine Gruppe ionenselektiver Extraktionsmittel eingeführt, die aus Lösungen von nicht wasserlöslichen ionogenen Verbindungen (langkettigen sauren Phosphorsäureestern oder langkettigen Aminen) in mit Wasser nicht mischbaren Lösungsmitteln be‐stehen. Sie eignen sich speziell zur Extraktion von Metallen zum Zweck der Gewinnung, Reinigung oder Trennung auf nassem Wege. Es wird ein Überblick über die bekanntgewordenen flüssigen Ionenaustauscher, ihre Anwendung und ihre Wirkungsweise gegeben.
