Four cases of stomach perforation in adult horses

Abstract: Four horses were diagnosed with full-thickness perforation of the stomach wall. Three of them developed a mature abscess associated with the perforation and one of them developed massive adhesions in the area. The clinical and laboratory findings and diagnostic procedures are described together with a discussion about potential pathogenesis for these rare pathologies in horses.
