Abstract:An exact four-body model of heavy-ion two-nucleon transfer reactions is described that includes all orders of interaction between the exchanged nucleons. The relative importance of the Q value of the reaction and of the nature of the nucleon-nucleon interaction in governing the magnitude of the transfer cross section is studied. In the distorted-wave treatment of two-nucleon transfer reactions initiated by both light and heavy ions, there are persistent discrepancies (factor of ~ 5) in the predicted magnitude o… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
