There are several technology-based solutions available to help students with disabilities related to compose something. However, merely providing access to technology is insufficient. It is important to utilized technology because the impelentation of using technology have an impact on students’ outcomes. The aim of this study is to investigate the perceptions in utilizing Padlet as a learning medium in writing report texts. Descriptive qualitative method was employed using questionnaire and interview. They were distributed through 36 sample of grade X and one teacher. 78% of the participants had positive perceptions; 19% neutral and 3% negative. It assumed that most of the students found that using Padlet website provided a more engaging and interactive writing experience. It was also revealed that the students who gave feedback negative and neutral perceptions had another argument that there are more learning media instead of Padlet which can increase his writing skill. The teacher supported the findings and provide nine description on how she perceived Padlet as learning media. Overall, using Padlet as a collaborative writing approach has the potential to connect and develop students' writing skills. This study is useful for writing teachers since the benefits of Padlet can make the writing process more effective and engaging, which relates to 21st Century Teaching and Learning.

English teachers agreed that developing their students’ writing ability was the most chalenging than the other abilities This study explores the components of effective teaching descriptive writings. Specifically, this research examines a classroom practice of an English teacher at the State Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) in Jember, East Java. This study focuses on how the English teacher enacted personal photograph in teaching writing and to investigate the students’ perceptions toward the use of personal photograph in writing descriptive text. This study, which employs qualitative research, portrays the reality that occurs in the field related to the enactment of personal photographs in teaching writing descriptive text. There was a successful modelling of personal photograph based on students’ views toward the learning that almost all beneficial. Aside from the successful practice, this research found minor drawbacks although did not impede the classroom practice.

Abstrak Selain perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, pandemi COVID-19 memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran secara cepat berubah dari pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh online sehingga guru dan siswa, siap atau tidak harus menggunakan perangkat teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Meskipun terlalu dini untuk menilai dampak jangka panjang COVID-19 dalam pendidikan, saat ini Pandemi sudah menunjukkan titik akhir. Para peneliti sudah mulai melihat dampak pandemi terhadap pendidikan di masa depan. Metode pembelajaran yang memungkin muncul untuk diprediksi dapat digunakan untuk pendidikan di masa depan, di antaranya adalah Online Learning, Blended Learning dan Hybrid Learning. Apakah metode tersebut siap digunakan oleh guru dan siswa? Apakah metode pembelajaran bisa saja kembali pada masa sebelum Pandemi? Berdasarkan hal itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendapat guru mengenai pembelajaran pasca pandemi di tingkat sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa angket. Jumlah responden yang mengisi angket adalah 83 orang responden. Responden merupakan guru Sekolah Dasar di Sumatera Barat. Data angket dianalisis dengan mendeskripsikan temuan-temuan yang diperoleh yang dideskripsikan melalui statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa saat ini di tingkat sekolah dasar pembelajaran dilakukan secara tatap muka (67,5%). Berdasarkan pendapat guru, pandemi COVID-19 lebih cenderung menimbulkan efek negatif dibandingkan efek positif dan mayoritas guru berhadap pembelajaran setelah pandemi kembali dengan metode lama yaitu pembelajaran tatap muka tetapi masih memanfaatkan teknologi agar pembelajaran lebih menarik. Kata kunci: Blended Learning, Hybrid Learning, Pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar
