[ 9 ] While conventional release dosage forms (single unit dosage) are associated with limitations of drug tolerance, dose dumping, patient incompliance and resistance due to long-term constant drug concentrations in the blood and tissues, a modified-release drug preparation is expected to improve patient compliance and reduce dosing frequency. Thus to modulate the drug level in synchrony with the circadian rhythm, multiparticulate system microspheres and tablet in capsule system (MATICS) is proposed for relieving both early morning and night pain that eventuate in the patients of rheumatoid arthritis.…”
