Cosmetics have gained significant popularity in the daily lives of many individuals, who often use a variety of products to enhance their beauty and elegance, with the aim of achieving a youthful and charming appearance. It is safe to say that cosmetics play a crucial role in human life. In recent times, herbal cosmetics have become increasingly popular due to the perception that they offer fewer side effects and are a safer option. [1] Hair is a fundamental aspect of an individual’s identity, and as such, it is crucial to maintain it through the use of various beauty products. In this regard, it is worth nothing that herbal formulations have demonstrated superior efficacy compared to synthetic ones while exhibiting minimal or no side effects. As such, herbal remedies represent a valuable alternative in hair care, especially for individuals with a proclivity for adverse reactions to conventional hair care products. [2] Promoting hair growth and preventing hair loss is a crucial aspect of hair care. Herbal dyes have been a popular choice among individuals, thanks to their minimal side effects and impeccable safety record. Recently, a study was conducted to develop an herbal hair serum using a variety of sauces for general hair treatment. The resultant oil was subjected to a thorough analysis, including assessments of its organoleptic properties, acid value, saponification value, viscosity, pH, and other parameters. Marketed (Synthetic) available shampoo contains artificial ingredients that are bad for the skin, damages hair follicles, irritates the scalp and some negative effects. Because consumers are now aware of the negative effects that synthetic products can have on their skin, hair, and eyes, they choose herbal products over synthetic ones. The adverse effects of herbal products are minimal so herbal products over synthetic ones. Herbal Shampoo is belonging to the cosmetic preparation using herbs and purpose of the hair care products are prepared to eliminate excess oil, dirt, and dandruff from the scalp and hair. The main aim of the present study is to formulate and evaluate polyherbal shampoo by using ingredient from the natural sources. The herbs used in the process of the preparation shampoo are Hibiscus flower (Hibiscus rosea), Neem leaf (Azadirachta indica), Shikakai fruit (Acacia concinna), Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis), Soap nut (soap berries), Amla (Emblica officinalis), Black Sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum L.), Reetha (Sapindus mukorossi), Fenugreek powder (Trigonella foenum-graecum). The formulations were evaluated for physical appearance, pH, Wetting test, Viscosity and Surface tension tests, foam stability test, dirt dispersion, determination of percent solid content, antimicrobial activity, skin irritation test and stability testing. Stability studies were conducted for 1-2 months for the prepared shampoo shows slight changes in their evaluation tests.

This study aimed to prepare Posaconazole (PNZ) microsponges and formulate them into a hydrogel, optimizing the drug-polymer ratio and other parameters using Design Expert’s Box Behnken Design. The microsponges were synthesized considering drug-polymer ratio, surfactant (PVA), and stirring speed as inputs, while the vesicular size and PNZ content were evaluated as dependent variables. The prepared microsponges were then merged into a hydrogel. Compatibility studies between the PNZ and excipients were conducted, and the physicochemical parameters of the microsponges and hydrogels were assessed. Statistical analysis was performed to evaluate variance among the factors. Microsponges formulated with a polymer ratio of 1:1 with PNZ (PM-3) exhibited favorable attributes, including smaller vesicular size, drug content, high % yield, % entrapment, and superior PNZ discharge profile. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) confirmed the spherical morphology and porous structure of PM-3 microsponges, indicating their suitability for PNZ loading and release. In vitro release studies demonstrated rapid initial discharge followed by sustained release over 12 h for PM-3, indicating potential for optimized PNZ delivery. Viscosity studies revealed a higher viscosity of PM-3 gel compared to conventional gel, potentially enhancing adherence to the skin surface and PNZ absorption. Additionally, PM-3 exhibited superior antifungal activity in disk diffusion assays, indicating effective control of fungal growth. This study successfully developed PNZ-loaded microsponge hydrogels, showing promising utility in treating fungal infections. PM-3 formulation demonstrated superior characteristics, suggesting its potential for optimized PNZ delivery and therapeutic outcomes.
