Formulasi Masker Bioselulosa dengan Essence Kombucha Bunga Telang (Clitoria Ternatea L.) Sebagai Antioksidan

Abstract. Biocellulose masks have skin-friendly properties that do not irritate and adhere very well to the skin. Mask. Biocellulose masks are made from the fermentation of kombucha with the addition of butterfly pea as antioxidants. Butterfly pea contain flavonoid and polyphenol compounds that function as antioxidants. This study was conducted to determine the characteristics and formulation of biocellulose masks based on kombucha butterfly pea, as well as to determine the antioxidant activity of the essence. The test method was conducted in vitro using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. The characterization of the biocellulose mask has a purple, a distinctive smell of fermentation which is at pH 5 with an elastic texture and the best stability of the essence of kombucha butterfly pea is in formula 3 with the addition of 0.02% kombucha butterfly pea. Based on the test results, the antioxidant activity of kombucha butterfly pea essence shows that the essence has weak antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 113.49 ppm. Abstrak. Masker bioselulosa memiliki sifat yang ramah kulit sehingga tidak mengiritasi dan mampu melekat dengan sangat baik pada kulit. Masker bioselulosa dibuat dari hasil fermentasi kombucha dengan penambahan bunga telang sebagai antioksidan. Pada bunga telang mengandung senyawa flavonoid dan polifenol yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan formulasi masker bioselulosa berbasis kombucha bunga telang, serta mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan pada essence. Metode pengujian dilakukan secara in vitro menggunakan metode 2,2-difenil-1-pikrilhidrazil (DPPH). Masker bioselulosa memiliki karakterisasi berwarna ungu, bau khas fermentasi yang berada pada pH 5 dengan tekstur yang elastis dan stabilitas terbaik dari essence kombucha bunga telang terdapat pada formula 3 dengan penambahan kombucha bunga telang sebanyak 0,02%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, aktivitas antioksidan essence kombucha bunga telang menunjukkan bahwa essence memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang lemah dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 113,49 ppm.
