Multidimensional nanomaterials, is a resource that has been formed over time becoming a revolutionary technology with a transcendent character providing the use in asphalt construction procedures, benefiting in the aspects of resistance in the environments to the field of civil engineering, in the same way it is a way in the advance for a better conservation of horizontal works with a favorable impact on the materials used, helping to preserve the care of the environment. In such a way that, in this article, a systematic review is reflected, around the exhaustive research in the databases such as Scopus and Science Direct, compiling a sum of 85 articles, which are indexed in journals from 2017 to 2021, carried out correspondingly on the different investigations of the management of multidimensional nanomaterials in asphalts. The objective of this literary review is to transmit various research by authors such as: the impact on the life cycle of asphalt, the performance it produces, the profitability and the advantage of the teaching that multidimensional nanomaterials have left, to later show results that show a growth in yields in asphalts through the application of multidimensional nanomaterials, So that it presents greater efficiency in the resistance to aging of the asphalt it is concluded that the nanomaterials reduce the environmental impact caused by the field of the constructions, improving the anti-aging capacity of the asphalt.

“…In this study, the orthogonal experiment method (Ren et al, 2019) is adopted to determine the target cement grouting material. Four test factors (water-cement ratio, content of expansion agent, content of water reducing agent, and content of accelerating agent) are determined for the orthogonal experiments in this study.…”
In pavement engineering, cement grouting material is widely used to pour into large void asphalt concrete to prepare semi-flexible composite mixtures. It plays an essential role in the performance of the semi-flexible composite mixture. To meet specific engineering requirements, various additives are mixed into the grouting material to improve the physical and mechanical properties. As a result, the uncertainty of the grouting material is also more significant as the complexity of material composition increases during the material design. It will bring some unknown risks for the engineering application. Hence, it is necessary to quantize the uncertainty during the material design of the grouting material and evaluate the reliability of the material formula. In this study, a novel framework of material design was developed by combing the Multioutput support vector machine (MSVM), Bayesian inference, and laboratory experiments. The MSVM was used to approximate and characterize the complex and nonlinear relationship between the grouting material formula and its properties based on laboratory experiments. The Bayesian inference was adopted to deal with the uncertainty of material design using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo. An optimized formula of the cement grouting material is obtained based on the developed framework. Experimental results show that the optimized formula improves engineering properties and performance stability, especially early strength. The developed framework provides a helpful, valuable, and promising tool for evaluating the reliability of the material design of the grouting material considering the uncertainty.
“…The rapid development of transportation infrastructure still maintains a high demand for asphalt materials. At the same time, with the development of the social economy, the significantly increased traffic volume and load have required better performance of asphalt 1 – 3 . Modifying asphalt is one of the most effective ways to improve its performance, and polymer modifiers reveal outstanding reinforcing extent on the asphalt property 4 – 6 .…”
The balance between the low and high temperature performance of asphalt materials is important to avoid either rutting deformation or low temperature cracking resistance of asphalt pavement. This is beneficial for improving the asphalt pavement comprehensive performance. Considering the excellent high temperature performance of Ethylene–vinyl acetate (EVA) modified asphalt, this study first modified it with Waste Biological Oil (WBO) to prepare WBO/EVA composite modified asphalt (WEMA) with different dosages. Then the samples were evaluated by the traditional physical properties, low and high temperature rheological properties. Finally, the micro mechanism of WBO on EVA modified asphalt were explored by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) test and atomic force microscope (AFM) experiments. The experimental results reveal that WBO has a softening effect on EVA modified asphalt, reducing its stiffness and improving its stretching performance and flowability. In addition, WBO can reduce the high-temperature deformation resistance of EMA modified asphalt, but it significantly enhances the low-temperature property of EVA modified asphalt. When the WBO content ranges from 1.5 to 2.5%, the high-temperature performance of WEMA is inferior to that of EVA-modified asphalt, however, its low-temperature performance is significantly better than that of EVA-modified asphalt. Importantly, within this WBO content range, the comprehensive performance of WEMA is superior to that of pure asphalt. Mechanism investigation showed that WBO reduces the content of macromolecular micelles and average molecular weight in EVA modified asphalt, and it also diluts the asphaltene components in the asphalt system, resulting in a slight weakening of the performance of WEMA at high temperatures and a significant performance enhancement at low temperatures. Ultimately, the utilization of WBO/EVA composite modified asphalt has a better comprehensive performance.
