Formation of Uniform Single-Crystalline Bismuth Sulfide Nanowires Under Mixed-Solvent Condition

Abstract: Uniform single-crystalline bismuth sulfide nanowires were prepared via a convenient solvothermal route under mixed-solvent condition. The nanowires were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrometry and UV-vis spectrophotometer. The growth mechanism of the one-dimensional nanostructures was discussed. The optical absorption band gap of the nanowires is about 1.7 … Show more

“…[21,22] For the nanocrystallization of Bi 2 S 3 material, it shows an apparent blue shift on the optical band edge as well as the nonlinear optical response. [23][24][25][26][27][28] Hence, the deep research on Bi 2 S 3 micro/nanomaterials has attracted intensive interests. For the sake of broader application scenarios of Bi 2 S 3 , it is crucial to exploit the efficient and facile synthesis strategies, and to design the specific morphologies of the materials.…”
