Formation of Anodically Self-Assembled Oxidized Aluminum for Photonic Crystal Fabrication

Abstract: The aim of the present work was to contribute to the nanostructured selfassembled systems fabrication to photonic and optoelectronic applications. Self-assembled porous alumina structures were obtained. These structures were fabricated by electrochemical technique (anodization of aluminum substrates). The effects of acid type and anodizing voltage on the formation of porous alumina film were analyzed. It was discussed the possible mechanism of self-assembled pores formation.
