Formation Mechanism of Coarse Austenite Grain during Hot Forging and Cooling in Case Hardening Steel

Abstract: Abnormally coarse microstructure consisting of coarse pearlite and bainite has been sometimes observed in case hardening steels when they are slowly cooled after hot forging.
