Abstract: A copper catalyst [Cu(N3Q3)Cl]Cl (N3Q3 = N,N-bis(quinolin-8-ylmethyl)quinolin-8-amine) has been employed for the dehydrogenation of formic acid. The thermodynamics and the kinetics have been depicted, and a mechanism deduced using DFT studies.
