Formas imaturas de anofelíneos em recipientes artificiais

Abstract

Relata-se o encontro de formas imaturas de Anopheles bellator e de An. argyritarsis em recipientes artificiais. Considera-se, como fator importante, o grande número de recipientes descartáveis produzidos atualmente e que podem aumentar o número de criadouros viáveis para mosquitos culicídeos.

Encontro de imaturos de Anopheles cruzii em bromélias de área urbana, litoral de São Paulo

The Serra do Mar [Mountain Range of the Sea] is considered hypoendemic for malaria, although its epidemiology is an issue currently under debate.…”

“…This indicates the dispersive role of the anopheline to new ecotopes in the choice of new habitats for the development of its immature forms and consequently, for adaptation to a modifi ed environment. 2 An. cruzii in bromelias in the urban environment is probably the result of its previous occurrence in the Atlantic Forest region, allied to the elevated presence of these nurseries, sources of both food and shelter.…”

“…bellator, whose adult forms are important transmitters of malaria, essentially in forest environments. 2,5 Furthermore, this study area is situated in a domain within the Atlantic Forest, considered a region of autochthonous malaria transmission within the State of São Paulo. In each environment, 50 different bromelias were inspected every 15 days according to the methodology described in Marques & Forattini 2005.…”

E isso traduzindose pela excessiva produção de recipientes descartáveis, acrescida pela de grande número de implementos e objetos de transitoriedade cada vez maior.…”

“…Immatures can be found either in temporary or semi-permanent or permanent habitats, such as ground pools, ground pools along stream margins, flood pools, seepage pools, pools in stream banks, swamps and small shallow running streams. It has been considered that only a few species of Anophelinae breed in natural containers and to find immatures in artificial containers was considered to be unusual by Forattini et al (1998).…”
