Forest park site selection based on a Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process framework (Case study: the Galegol Basin, Lorestan province, Iran)

Abstract: ABSTRACT:The aim of this study is to solve the forest park site selection problem using a Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) framework in the Galegol Basin, Lorestan province, Iran. The Delphi screening method was used to select the most relevant criteria and sub-criteria to the forest park problem. Using the FAHP weighting approach, the weight of each criterion and sub-criterion was calculated. Then, the suitability map of forest park location was mapped by the weighted linear combination (WLC) method. T… Show more

“…NBE results present an unfavorable equilibrium in Zagros forests. The attention of stakeholders preferences [34], especially LCs [21], using the potential of forests, land-use planning, and site selection for sustainable development [35] can contribute to NBE strategies aimed at reaching sustainable forest management. In this study, we highlighted the role of the SA factor.…”

“…ey must have knowledge of the value object's properties, nature, and laws in order to perform the function. Essentially, the purpose of landscape bene t evaluation is to comprehend the essential components and their relationships with one another while grasping the unchanging laws of landscape expressed in a variety of genuine feelings and changing purposeful sentiments and their relationships with one another [1][2][3][4].…”

“…In the study we tried to draw on one Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) which has recently been a kind of immensely popular method in doing forest management studies. Some other methods that have recently been carried out in forest management studies include Least Cost Path (LCP) algorithm in a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environment (Liang et al 2018;Peng et al 2018), Fuzzy AHP (Li et al 2009;Salehnasab et al 2016;Dos Santos et al 2020), Delphi method (Filyushkina et al 2018), SWOT analysis (Mostafa et al 2020).…”
