Foreign Body Granuloma Simulating Gastric Carcinoma – Therapeutic Fiberendoscopy

Abstract: A case of foreign body granuloma with close clinical and radiological resemblance to gastric carcinoma is presented. Correct diagnosis was obtained by endoscopy and succesful fiberscopic foreign body removal spared the patient the risk of laparotomy. With this report both the diagnostic and therapeutic value of fiberoptic instruments are emphasized.
