The study was aimed at obtaining a vermicelli formulation on a mixture of corn and rice flour, adding carrageenan and its economic analysis. The experiment applied a 2-factorial randomized block design, where factor 1 was a mixture of corn and rice flour (5 levels) and factor 2 was carrageenan concentration (5 levels), repeated three times. The data were analyzed using ANOVA provided in SPSS. When there were significant differences, the analysis proceeded with DMRT at a level of 5% to see differences among treatments. The results show that the higher the corn flour and carrageenan concentration, the higher the vermicelli’s ash and fat content. The formulation produces wet vermicelli with a good appearance. The production of vermicelli uses an extruder method. The selected vermicelli formulation was a mixture of 25% corn flour with 75% rice flour and the addition of 0.6% carrageenan. The characteristics of the wet vermicelli are moisture content of 42.84%, ash content of 0.21% on a wet basis (wb), and fat content of 0.43% wb. The organoleptic test of vermicelli was color 3.9 (liked), aroma 3.6 (liked), texture 2.6 (quite soft), taste 3.7 (liked), and general appearance 3.5 (liked). Economically, making vermicelli made of corn and rice flour is profitable because the R/C ratio value is greater than one, which is 2.27. The resulting wet vermicelli resembles wet noodles, large in size and yellow in color, so it can be recommended as gluten-free noodles, suitable for consumption by people with gluten allergies.

Penyediaan HPT yang cukup dan berkualitas akan meningkatkan produksi susu sapi perah. Dalam rangka peningkatan susu sapi, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis pola penyediaan dan rantai pasok HPT pada peternak sapi perah di Jawa Barat, yang merupakan salah satu daerah sentra sapi perah di Indonesia. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Bandung, Garut, Bogor, Kuningan dan Subang yang merupakan sentra sapi perah di Jawa Barat pada bulan Mei–Oktober 2022 dengan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Penentuan responden menggunakan Purposive Sampling untuk peternak dan snowball sampling untuk pedagang perantara dan produsen. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner terbuka dan wawancara langsung kepada 165 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumber penyediaan HPT yang digunakan dalam rantai pasok HPT di Jawa Barat banyak berasal dari lahan sendiri, lahan hutan/DAS/lain-lain, beli dan sewa, sedangkan jenis HPT yang banyak digunakan adalah rumput gajah, rumput alam/campuran dan jerami padi. Saluran rantai pasok HPT sapi perah di Provinsi Jawa Barat berjumlah 10 saluran, dengan anggota rantai yaitu produsen HPT (produsen HPT segar, produsen HPT awetan dan produsen HPT segar dan awetan), pedagang HPT (pedagang pengumpul dan pedagang besar), dan konsumen (peternak sapi perah mikro, kecil, menengah, koperasi dan perusahaan besar).

This study aims to examine the effect of using rumen content bioactivators with the addition of different energy sources on nutrient content, fiber fraction content, and energy estimation in palm leaves and midribs that will be used as feed ingredients for ruminants. Factorial completely randomized design 2x4 with 4 replications for each treatment was used in this study. Factor A is the source of the rumen contents, where A1 = Cattle rumen, A2 = Buffalo rumen. Factor B is a microbial energy supply; B1 = Molasses, B2 = Molasses + palm frond extract, B3 = Molasses + palm leaf extract, B4 = Molasses + palm frond and leaf extract. Parameters observed were dry matter content, organic matter, crude protein. The results of the variance analysis showed that there was no interaction (P> 0.05) between the source of rumen content and the type of microbial energy supply. The dry matter content of palm fronds is not affected by the source of the rumen content of cows or buffaloes. The source of the rumen content based on cattle or buffaloes have no effect on the dry matter content of palm fronds. Keywords: Bioactivator, oil palm frond, ruminant.
