Účel -Účelem této komparační analýzy je srovnání rozsahu funkcí nabízených pěti citačními manažery: Citace PRO, Citavi, EndNote, Mendeley a Zotero.Design/metodologie/přístup -Na základě stanovených kritérií a odborných zdrojů k tématu byly definovány analyzované funkce.Ty byly testovány pomocí reálných dat o publikacích, případně jejich plných textů.Výsledky -Výsledky popisují silné a slabé stránky jednotlivých citačních nástrojů v osmi funkčních klastrech. Prezentovány jsou jak funkce obsažené ve všech nástrojích, tak i ty specifické (např. pokročilý informační management v Citavi), příp. specifický přístup k jejich nastavení (např. formáty pro export citací v jednotlivých nástrojích). Na závěr jsou kvantitativně srovnány rozsahy funkcí testovaných citačních manažerů pro srovnání jejich bohatosti celkově i v jednotlivých klastrech pro shrnutí specializací nástrojů na určitou oblast (např. kolaborativní a komunikační funkce v Mendeley).Originalita/hodnota -Rozsah funkcí je základním kritériem pro volbu vhodného nástroje pro konkrétního uživatele i východiskem pro edukaci uživatelů pro efektivní využití citačních manažerů. Cílem článku není srovnání uživatelského pohledu na nástroje a v nich nabízené funkce, pouze deskripce těchto funkcí a jejich rozsahu.

When writing an assignment, most students start by searching for information online, which they integrate in their writing and conclude by producing a bibliography for the sources used. They use their informational, writing and referencing skills to do this as well as refer to their plagiarism knowledge to make sure their text is exempt from plagiarism. In this paper, we examined which skills and knowledge students feel the need to further develop in university to prevent plagiarism in their assignments. Professors were also questioned as to their perceptions of their students' skills development during their pre-university studies. Questionnaires were administered in six Quebec Universities to students (n = 1170) and professors (n = 279). Results show that students feel the need for more training while professors expect students to have already mastered the skills and knowledge to prevent plagiarism. Recommendations are made on how to implement better training for students through a program approach. Lors de la rédaction d'un devoir, la plupart des étudiants universitaires commencent par chercher des informations en ligne, qu'ils intègrent dans leur rédaction et terminent en produisant une bibliographie des sources utilisées. Ils utilisent leurs compétences informationnelles, rédactionnelles, et de référencement documentaire et se réfèrent à leurs connaissances en matière de plagiat pour s'assurer que leur texte en soit exempt. Dans cet article, nous avons examiné les compétences et les connaissances que les étudiants ressentent le besoin de développer davantage à l'université pour prévenir le plagiat dans leurs travaux. Les professeurs ont également été interrogés sur leur perception du développement des compétences de leurs étudiants durant leurs études pré-universitaires. Des questionnaires ont été administrés dans six universités québécoises à des étudiants (n = 1170) et à des professeurs (n = 279). Les résultats montrent que les étudiants ressentent le besoin d'une formation plus poussée alors que les professeurs s'attendent à ce que les étudiants maîtrisent déjà les compétences et les connaissances nécessaires pour prévenir le plagiat. Des recommandations sont formulées sur la façon de mettre en oeuvre une meilleure formation pour les étudiants par le biais d'une approche-programme.

Gestionar la información científica en el proceso investigativo es un gran desafío para los tesistas universitarios debido a la dificultad de sistematizar y estructurar el exceso de información disponible en diferentes fuentes digitales o físicas. El objetivo del estudio fue analizar la importancia de los referenciadores bibliográficos como herramienta tecnológica para la gestión de la información científica en tesistas universitarios. Se llevó a cabo una revisión bibliográfica sistemática realizando búsquedas en bases de datos electrónicas de artículos científicos publicados en revistas indexadas a Latindex Catálogo, Scielo y Scopus entre los años 2016 y 2020. Los resultados de la revisión describen las características, funcionalidades, aspectos y estudios principales sobre los beneficios que brindan los referenciadores bibliográficos para gestionar la información científica. Concluimos que funciones como la organización de la información, citación y referenciación bibliográfica y colaboración entre investigadores proporcionados por los referenciadores bibliográficos, constituyen recursos importantes para los tesistas universitarios. Managing scientific information in the research process is a great challenge for university thesis students due to the difficulty of systematizing and structuring the excess of information available in different digital or physical sources. The objective of the study was to analyze the importance of reference manager as a technological tool for the management of scientific information in university theses students. We carried out a systematic bibliographic review by searching electronic databases of scientific articles published in journals indexed to Latindex Catalog, Scielo and Scopus between the years 2016 and 2020. The results of the review describe the characteristics, functionalities, aspects and studies main ones on the benefits that reference manager provide to manage scientific information. We conclude that functions such as the organization of information, bibliographic citation and referencing, and collaboration between researchers provided by reference manager, constitute important resources for university thesis students.
