Food Safety Supervision System Based on Hierarchical Multi-Domain Blockchain Network

Abstract: The traditional food supervision system has problems such as lack of industry chain and data fragmentation, which has caused the phenomenon of field regulation to be uncomprehensive in the existing regulatory system and the disposal of response lag. Combining the characteristics of blockchain such as distribution, transparent, and collegiality with the actual needs of regional autonomy, we propose the hierarchical multi-domain blockchain (HMDBC) network structure and the secondary-check mechanism, which can su… Show more

“…e ICT electronic agriculture system via blockchain infrastructure guaranteed the integrity of agricultural environment data, conducive to improving sustainable agrarian development [32]. In [33], it is proposed that blockchain applied in the food supply-chain not only could reduce food losses by optimizing product logistics, but it also benefits to improve regulatory efficiency. Saberi et al explored how blockchain could help supply-chain sustainability and guide industry transformation.…”

“…In terms of the supervision system problems from the traditional food industry, such as industrial chain deficiency, data dispersion, and so on, it is a risk and an area of concern for systems where there is a need for a high-reliability solution. The Hierarchical Multi-Domain Block Chain (HMDBC) network structure and the secondary inspection mechanism proposed by Tao et al [61] is quite appropriate. Moreover, Blockchain technology can solve some of the most pressing issues in the supply chain, as it provides new methods to record, transmit, and share data.…”
