Abstract: ResumenEstudiar las funciones de las inscripciones conduce a entender mejor su papel y abrazar mejor lo que puede ser su aportación a la historia. Los epitafîos, la categoria mas importante, pretenden conservar la memoria del difunto, pedir para él oraciones, recordar lo vano del mundo. De esta manera, nos traen informaciones sobre la vida del difunto, la fe, la actitud delante de la muerte.
