Food security should form reliable sources and reserves of providing the country's population with important types of food. In the Republic of Azerbaijan, a state control system is being formed in order to ensure the population's demand for quality food. The large-scale measures implemented in this field have their positive results. "The State Program for ensuring food safety in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the years 2019-2025" was approved. As a continuation of the reforms carried out in the field of food safety, the existing normative legal framework in the field of food safety has been improved. This article discusses the general requirements established in the legislation for ensuring food safety.
