Folic acid supplements in pregnancy and early childhood respiratory health

Abstract: Background Folate supplementation is recommended for pregnant women to reduce the risk of congenital malformations. Maternal intake of folate supplements during pregnancy might also influence childhood immune phenotypes via epigenetic mechanisms.
