Abstract: Background Hypertension associated with hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) is correlated with a high risk of vascular diseases. However, the mechanisms of HHcy-associated hypertensive vascular damage and the efficacy of folic acid (FA) as a treatment have not been fully elucidated.
