Recently, Deep Learning and blockchain technology has gained successful attention in recent research due to their high potential for generating accurate decision. The operational transparency, traceability, dependability, security, and trustworthy data provenance characteristics are offered by the vast majority of current deep learning approaches that are developed on centralized servers. Therefore, using centralized data to train Deep Learning models makes them vulnerable to the single point of failure issue. In this article, the benefits of combining Blockchain and Deep Learning algorithms are explored. Moreover, the state-of-the-art literature is reviewed to find out the most possible way to integrate these two technologies for an optimal solution. Based on the literature survey this article is divided by a thematic taxonomy that includes seven different parameters such as Deep Learning techniques, protocols, domains, types of blockchain, use of deep learning and blockchain, and datasets. We have outlined the advantages and disadvantages of the most advanced blockchain-based deep learning frameworks to give insightful discussions. At last, the most important challenges that need further research are also highlighted with future recommendations.

In Japan, rural areas are grappling with population decline and aging, leading to a shortage of labor for farmland maintenance. This has resulted in the abandonment of farmland or its conversion for solar photovoltaic (PV) use. However, this unplanned conversion raises concerns about agricultural productivity decline, landscape degradation, biodiversity loss, water resource maintenance, and disaster prevention. This study focuses on the Kushida watershed, examining (1) accurate farmland classification using remote sensing data, (2) the geographical distribution of farmland converted to PV systems from 2016 to 2021 and concentrated along the river, especially on north-facing slopes, (3) the highest conversion rates in wheat fields, followed by legume fields, tea fields, and paddy fields, and (4) no clear correlation between farmland conversions and changes in the number of farmers, but associations with farmland geography and solar radiation levels. These findings contribute to a nuanced understanding of sustainable rural development in Japan, emphasizing the importance of considering geographical factors in the conversion of farmland to PV.

A recent study has successfully focused on Deep Learning and Blockchain technologies because of their tremendous potential for producing reliable decisions. The bulk of contemporary deep learning techniques implemented on centralized servers gives operational transparency, traceability, reliability, security, and reliable data provenance qualities. Deep Learning models are therefore susceptible to the single point of failure problem since they are trained using centralized data. The advantages of merging Blockchain with Deep Learning algorithms are examined in this paper. Additionally, current research is examined to determine the best strategy to combine these two technologies for the best outcome.
