Focus on kineticcs of removal antibiotics wastewater by nano-zero valent iron in oxidation and photoxidation process

Abstract: Pharmaceutical wastewater can be difficult to treat with conventional physical/chemical and biological treatment systems. The presence of antibiotics in sewage selects for resistance markers that are able to spread through the microbial community and as a result, antibiotic resistant bacteria can potentially disseminate their resistance genes widely among members of the endogenous microbial community. The sludge products of urban and rural wastewater treatment plants are increasingly used to fertilize agricult… Show more

“…Exposure of bacteria to concentrations below the therapeutic level of antimicrobials is the cause of the resistance-incidence increase. Besides, resistance can be transmitted to other bacteria in other environments, such as groundwater or drinking water (Hassanzadeh et al, 2015;Brown and Balkwill, 2009). It is important to protect groundwater, one of the most important natural resources, from such pollutants (Ostad-Ali-Askari et al, 2021;Ostad-Ali-Askari and Shayannejad, 2021;Ostad-Ali-Askari, 2022).…”
