“…The similar variations of compositions have been found in PZNT films grown by liquid phase epitaxy (LPE) [10]. However, the compositions of PZNT crystal grown by the flux Bridgman method agreed well with the theoretical values [11]. The variation in Fig.…”

“…The complex perovskite relaxor ferroelectrics (1-x)Pb(Zn 1/3 Nb 2/3 )O 3 ÀxPbTiO 3 (PZNT) has been reported to exhibit an extremely large piezoelectric strain (>1%) and a relatively high electromechanical coupling factor (k 33 >90%) [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. Such excellent performances are practical and potential for the applications as acoustic probes and electromechanical transducers, e.g., using PZNT single-crystal probe for ultrasonic echocardiography, high-quality images can be obtained due to its great penetration and high resolution [8].…”

“…The average TiO 2 , ZnO and Nb 2 O 5 contents were higher than the theoretical values, but the amount of PbO was in shortage although 50% PbO flux was supplied. However, in our previous work, we had reported the composition of PZNT93/7 crystal grown by flux Bridgman method was agreed well with the stoichiometric value [6]. Therefore, the composition deviation in this experiment was related to the fast solidification mechanism.…”

“…Figure 1b were two (001) wafers which were looked to be yellowish, no grain boundaries were found in the crystal by naked eyes. However, rocking curve analysis reveals the crystalline quality of the wafers were not perfect, figure 2 shows the FWHM value was 0.7° which was larger than that of the crystal grown by gas cooling method [6]. The broad FWHM might be related to the growth defects in the crystal as well as the lattice distortion, as the PZNT crystal had complex structure which was composed of rhombohedral PZN and tetragonal PT.…”
