Fluorescers and filters of unusual chemical composition for low-energy x-ray measurements

Abstract

The preparation of fluorescers and filters of high oxygen and high nitrogen (53 and 52 wt.%, respectively) for low-energy x-ray measurements is described. The thin films of high oxygen content were fabricated from 50:50 wt.% mixture of Celcon■ and Delrin■, whereas the films of high nitrogen content were synthesized from ammonia–borane on a polyacrylonitrile substrate.
