Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer Aptasensor of Ochratoxin A Constructed Based on Gold Nanorods and DNA Tetrahedrons

Abstract: Ochratoxin A (OTA) contamination of corn has received significant attention due to the wide distribution and high toxicity of OTA. The maximum residue limit standard of OTA in corn has been established by the Chinese Government and other unions. Nanoparticle-based fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) assays are promising methods for the sensitive and fast detection of OTA. However, satisfactory detection sensitivity is commonly achieved with complicated signal amplification processes or specific nanop… Show more

“…It is worthwhile mentioning that although this section describes a variety of sensing techniques using surface modification, this is not an exhaustive list. Other sensing techniques using surface modified AuNRs which will not be covered in this article include fluorescence-involved sensing, 83,84 chirality sensing, 85,86 electrochemical sensing, [87][88][89] etc. Colourimetric sensing, monitoring the colour change of a sensor when it encounters analytes of interest, is a classic approach to optical sensing.…”
