Flotation Behavior and Adsorption Mechanism of Phenylpropyl Hydroxamic Acid As Collector Agent in Separation of Fluorite from Calcite

Abstract: The hydroxylamine method involves the synthesis of a new hydroxamic acid collector, i.e., phenylpropyl hydroxamic acid (PHA), from methyl cinnamic hydroxamic acid. Flotation test results show that PHA exhibits good selective collection ability. The adsorption mechanism of PHA is investigated using the zeta potential, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results show that PHA formed a new Ca–O bond with Ca2+ on the fluorite surface via chemical adsorpti… Show more

“…MOFs with well-defined and appropriate pore sizes can selectively adsorb specific gas molecules. 130 Zhao et al 131 synthesized an MOF with precisely controlled pore sizes, enabling efficient separation of CO 2 and CH 4 . Furthermore, Haque and colleagues conducted a comparison analysis of MIL-Fe-53 Fe(OH)BDC synthesis using conventional electric heating, a microwave-assisted technique, and ultrasound or sono-irradiation.…”

“…The principle of alkaline dissolution for dissolving the amorphous phase is that O can effectively destroy the amorphous phase structure formed under acidic conditio causing it to decompose rapidly and completely. Sodium hydroxide solution shows go selective dissolution in mineral phase separation processes [26,27]. Many researchers ha reported the dissolution mechanism of amorphous phases in NaOH solution [28,29], a the literature has verified through experiments that most of the amorphous phases in ash are dissolved in a 20%NaOH solution, with the SiO2 leaching rate reaching a ma mum of 42.13% [30].…”
