Flexible Printed Circuit Fracture Detection Based on Hypothesis Testing Strategy

Abstract: A detection algorithm based on hypothesis testing strategy is presented for the detection of the fracture of FPC track. First, the sandwiched region between any two break points of the track skeleton is hypothesized as the alternative fracture to wait for ''testing''. Then, the language semantic judgment (LSJ) algorithm is proposed to verify (''testing'') the hypothetical connecting track which is the union of the two incomplete tracks located by the ends of the alternative fracture. And the structure reasonab… Show more

“…The detection of defects in SMT products are divided into three stages depending on the inspection point of the products: before solder paste printing, between solder paste printing and pick-and-place, and after pick-and-place and reflow. First, the defect detection before solder paste printing inspects the condition of bare PCBs using vision sensor in two steps: defect region proposal [10] and defect classification on proposals [11]- [14]. Additionally, microwave sensors are also used to capture defects such as strains that are difficult to detect with cameras and vision algorithms [15].…”

“…However, affected by the equipment and the human factors, errors are always inevitable and lead to the deviation between the actual position and the preset ideal position of silicone caps. This will affect the electrical function of the keyboard circuit and cause the keyboard key switch to fail (Liu and Fan, 2019;Li et al, 2020). So it is very important to detect whether the pasting position of the silicone cap is in a reasonable range.…”
