Flexible Electronics

Abstract: Compared to conventional rigid and brittle electronics, shape‐deformable electronics have recently drawn attention. Flexible electronics facilitate a new class of technology and applications that would be impossible to achieve using the traditional silicon wafer‐based process. To accomplish the flexible electronics, electrical and mechanical properties of semiconductor materials as well as engineering effort for new processing technology should be developed. Herein, we review recent advances in flexible electr… Show more

“…These images were imported into a graphing software and the bending is converted into data points on an x-y plane, which are then exported to MATLAB. These data points are fitted into an equation using parabolic fitting tool to get a second-degree polynomial curve, used to get the radius of curvature using equation (1).…”

“…During the last decade, new techniques have been developed to fabricate flexible electronic devices. Due to their mechanical deformability, such devices have been gaining importance in various applications such as flexible displays and wearables [1]. For fabricating a flexible electronic device, various methods have been used including screen printing, gravure printing [2,3], offset printing [4], and airbrushing [5].…”

“…[1][2][3] The performance of flexible optoelectronic devices is critically dependent on flexible electrodes of low resistivity, high transparency, and superior flexibility. In particular, flexible electrodes should remain stable and retain their electrical properties even after being subjected to mechanical bending.…”
