This research examines the profound effects of integrating IoT-enabled predictive maintenance in sustainable transportation fleets. By using real-time sensor data, this implementation aims to enhance fleet dependability and operational efficiency. The fleet, including a variety of vehicles such as electric buses, hybrid cars, electric trucks, CNG-powered vans, and hybrid buses, is constantly monitored using IoT sensors that capture important characteristics like engine temperature, battery voltage, and brake wear percentages. The predictive maintenance algorithms adapt maintenance schedules in response to live sensor data, enabling a proactive strategy that tackles prospective problems before they result in major failures. The examination of the maintenance records reveals prompt actions, showcasing the system’s efficacy in reducing operational interruptions and improving the overall dependability of the fleet. Moreover, the examination of percentage change confirms the system’s flexibility, demonstrating its capacity to anticipate fluctuations in engine temperature, battery voltage, and brake wear. The findings highlight the system’s ability to adapt to various operating situations and its contribution to lowering maintenance expenses while enhancing operational effectiveness. The established approach incorporates ethical issues, such as data security and privacy, to ensure responsible adoption of IoT technology. This study has broader ramifications beyond the particular dataset, providing a detailed plan for incorporating IoTenabled predictive maintenance into contemporary transportation infrastructures. The study’s findings offer valuable insights into the potential of proactive maintenance strategies to transform the transportation industry towards sustainability. This contributes to a future where fleets operate with increased efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and improved reliability.

This study examines the impact of emerging transport trends on the Western Balkans and their potential to improve the sustainability and efficiency of the transport sector in the region. In the context of global efforts to reduce environmental impacts and improve transport safety, the study aims to better understand the perspective of the business sector in order to align strategic planning for the introduction of new transport technologies and practices with the expectations of the business sector. Using a questionnaire-based survey on the Mentimeter platform, the study gathers insights from 49 transport and logistics experts. The analysis uses violin plots and heat maps to visualise the expected impact of the identified trends. The results show a consensus among the experts that the emerging trends are likely to lead to a reduction in accidents, congestion, and emissions, while at the same time increasing operating costs and investment in infrastructure. In particular, trends such as alternative fuels, electrification, and smart city initiatives are highlighted as important drivers for reducing emissions. The study concludes that while these trends are likely to lead to the achievement of environmental and safety goals, they also lead to economic challenges as operating costs increase and significant infrastructure investment is required. The study emphasises the need for strategic investment, policy adjustments, and capacity building to lead the Western Balkans towards a sustainable transport future.

An information technology consulting firm that specializes in Global Positioning Systems provides fleet management services for many of its clients. The systems currently used by companies require more advanced modernization to ensure optimal service delivery. To overcome this challenge, a proposed enterprise architecture on system fleet management is presented in this paper. The proposed enterprise architecture is a comprehensive solution that includes the necessary hardware, software and operational processes to improve fleet management services. The proposed architecture is based on the Enterprise Architecture, which enables the integration of various systems and applications used by companies. The proposed architecture includes modules for vehicle tracking, fuel management, maintenance scheduling and driver performance monitoring. These modules work together to provide real-time data on fleet operations, enabling companies to make informed decisions regarding their fleet management services. The proposed architecture also incorporates an easy-to-use interface that simplifies the fleet management process and enhances customer satisfaction. The proposed system is scalable and easily adaptable to meet service requirements across multiple customers. In conclusion, the proposed enterprise architecture for system fleet management provides a comprehensive solution to the current challenges faced by companies as a corporate fleet service provider. The proposed architecture will improve service, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
