“…The retinal findings include deeply located, irregular, sharply defined flecks of variable size distributed primarily in the nasal equatorial region. 52 A few reports on bread crumb fleck retinopathy have also been described in the literature characterized by the presence of fleck-like lesions along with normal fluorescein angiography and electrophysiological testing. 53,54 Variable shaped fundus flecks seen in the deep retina have also been described in the benign fleck retina syndrome.…”

“…4.2.1 Gass' grouped albinotic spots; Flecked Retina of Kandori Kandori described 4 cases from Japan with an unusual retinal appearance but good visual function (Kandori, 1959;Kandori et al, 1966;Kandori et al, 1972). The characteristic changes were large, irregular but sharply defined yellow patches in mid-peripheral retina and sparing the macula.…”

“…The characteristics of fleck retina of Kandori large, irregular, sharply defined yellowish-white flecks; normal retinal vessels and optic nerve; absence of pigmentation of the flecks; no visual field defects; normal electroretinogram findings with dark adaptation; and onset or detection at 30 to 40 years of age are all apparent in our clinical case. 1,2 Our case is obviously different from other flecked retinal disorders by the flecks' size. The enhanced signal of ellipsoid zone of the optical coherence tomography in the present case was also unique comparing with the other fleck disorders where optical coherence tomography mostly showed the retinal pigment epithelial layer change.…”
