“…[5] Many highly active and selective metal-based catalysts containing Lewis acid sites have been reported, such as metal complexes [10] and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). [1,12] Several metal-free organic catalysts have also been investigated, such as ammonium halides, [1,[13][14][15] phosphonium halides, [3,16] and imidazolium-basedi onic liquids, [17][18][19] in which the halidesa re the catalytic speciesa cting as nucleophiles. “…6 To date, various valuable chemicals including methanol, 7 formic acid, 8 amides, 9 carbonates, 10 and aryl aldehydes 11 have been produced using CO 2 as a C1 feedstock. Synthesis of organosulfur compounds via the construction of C−S bonds using CO 2 as a C1 feedstock is very interesting.…”

“…In this work, three metal complexes based on 2,6-bis[1-(phenylimino)ethyl] pyridine ( L ), namely [Cu L Cl 2 ] ( 1 ), [Cr L Cl 3 ] ( 2 ), and [Mn L Cl 2 ]·0.5(CH 3 CN) ( 3 ) were constructed, and were investigated in terms of their activity in catalyzing the cycloaddition reaction between propylene oxide and carbon dioxide (Scheme 1) [26,27,28], in the presence of co-catalyst. Furthermore, the relationship between the molecular structures and catalysis performance was analyzed based on experiment and density functional theory (DFT) calculation, and a reaction mechanism is proposed.…”
