“…Increased disordering and hydration (i.e., increased dispersion stability) accounted for the high pH. However, the shape of the adsorption curve onto in-situ precipitated alumina polymers is more or less similar to Mo(VI) adsorption envelopes onto suspensions of solid gibbsite and amorphous Al oxide from NaCl solutions, Mo(VI) uptake onto in-situ precipitated boehmite is very high [5,28,41]. Figure 3 (curve b) shows that, except for the two terminal adsorption % of 99 Mo at pH 9.5 and 4.5, a straight line similar to anion exchange reactions with negative slope value of ∼ 0.313 was obtained.…”

“…The AlMo gel, prepared at pH 5.5 from NO 3 − solution, has reproducible 99m Tc, elution performance not seriously affected by small fractional changes in the preparation pH value as ZrMo gels [4,17,19,20]. Separation and Q.C indices of 99m Tc radionuclide generated from the alumina 99 Mo-molybdate(VI) matrix at pH 5.5 are as high as these from 99 Mo/ 99m Tc generators based on Al 2 O 3 loaded fission 99 Mo [3][4][5] Reproducibility of the preparation process and 99m Tc elution performance were investigated 8 times using 5-10 mCi. 99 Mo/ 99m Tc generators eluted over 12 d from the preparation date at the frequencies of 1,2 and 3 d between two successive elutions.…”

“…Technetium-99m is mainly supplied from 99 Mo/ 99m Tc chromatographic column generators based on alumina loaded with fission-99 Mo (with a loading capacity of 2 mg Mo/g at pH 5-6.2) [3]. In addition, hydrous zirconium oxide, hydrous titanium oxide, manganese dioxide, silica gel and hydrotalcites have also been investigated as base column beds for fission 99 Mo/ 99m Tc generators [4].…”
