Fishing-Related Injuries Among Pediatric Patients Treated in United States Emergency Departments, 1997 to 2016

Abstract: An estimated 14.8 million youth under the age of 25 years participate in recreational fishing. Despite its popularity, fishing can be associated with injuries ranging from mild to severe trauma. There is a paucity of research available that describes characteristics of fishing-related injuries among youth.
